Riding in Sweden

Swedish road cycling is about endurance. The country is home to Vätternrundan, one of the world's largest recreational rides, a roughly 300 kilometre loop around Lake Vättern that thousands of riders complete every June. Gotland, Skåne and the Stockholm archipelago offer superb riding through the long summer days.

Nordic design shaped our name. Sweden is a natural home for Nordvelo.

Roads worth the trip

Vätternrundan, Motala. The classic Swedish challenge around Lake Vättern, ridden through the light June night.

Gotland. Quiet coastal roads, medieval Visby and gentle limestone landscapes. A great place for a summer riding trip.

Skåne. Rolling farmland, coastal roads and some of the mildest weather in the country, popular with riders from Malmö and Copenhagen.

What to wear, season by season

Swedish summers are short and glorious, so make the most of them in a short sleeve kit. Spring and autumn call for a long sleeve kit with bib tights, and a windbreaker is always useful along the coast.
