Riding in Denmark

Danish cycling went to another level when Copenhagen hosted the Tour de France Grand Départ in 2022, and Jonas Vingegaard won the race that same year. Road riders here are strong in the wind and quick in a group, riding coastal roads, rolling farmland and the surprising hills of Jutland.

Nordic design inspired our name, so Danish roads feel like home turf for Nordvelo.

Roads worth the trip

North Zealand coast. Roads north from Copenhagen along the Øresund and up to the Kattegat coast, with villages, forests and sea views.

Mols Bjerge, Jutland. Rolling hills in a national park near Aarhus, among the hilliest riding in Denmark.

Bornholm. An island in the Baltic with cliffs, fishing villages and short, punchy climbs. Great for a riding weekend.

What to wear, season by season

Danish riding is all about the wind. A windbreaker is essential much of the year, with a long sleeve kit and bib tights from autumn to spring. Summer is short sleeve kit season, with long evenings by the sea.

Every Nordvelo design comes in men's and women's fits. Shop men's kit or women's kit.
