Riding in Finland

Finnish riders know how to make the most of a short season. When summer arrives, the roads through the Lakeland and along the coast come alive, and gravel riding on forest roads has become hugely popular. The Åland Islands, between Finland and Sweden, offer some of the calmest island riding in the Nordics.

Nordic design is at the heart of Nordvelo, and Finland shares that instinct for clean, bold design.

Roads worth the trip

Finnish Lakeland. Thousands of lakes, ridges and quiet roads around Savonlinna, Kuopio and beyond. Endless, peaceful kilometres.

Åland Islands. Island-hopping on ferries and bridges between rocky shores and red-painted villages.

Archipelago Trail, Turku. A loop through the southwest archipelago, linking islands with small ferries and bridges.

What to wear, season by season

Summer is short sleeve kit season, with endless evening light. Spring and autumn call for a long sleeve kit and bib tights, with a windbreaker for the coast and the islands.

Every Nordvelo design comes in men's and women's fits. Shop men's kit or women's kit.
